Welcome! Thanks. ^_^ Hello. ^^ 'eya. Before we begin, we have a few questions for you. Okay. What is your name? Jack Bankston. What is your quest? Officially, to help laid off workers with their transition, actually a world without poverty and exploitation so everyone can live in peace. Go on. I'm not really sure how to get there and a lot of the previous attempts had good goals but were misguided in how they did it. I guess helping people reach the full potential of human nature, so when the corporations stop ruling from behind the scenes and step to the forefront people will be ready to resist. What is your favorite color? Red. Even as a kid. Are you ready? * Jack nods. Here we go, then. [May 13, 2005.] [When you went to bed last night, everything was normal. Familiar. Now, for whatever reason, you've woken up, and while the room is dark, you get the distinct impression that something's wrong.] [ACenGame 2, Intro Session 6 Start!] * Jack sits up and quickly glances around. He then cautiously tries to find a lamp, looking beside his bed where one should be if this was is room. [It's too dark to really see.] * Jack reaches out then to where he thinks it should be. [You find no lamp. This is odd.] * Jack frowns and shakes his head. "If they came for me, I doubt it would be this peaceful." He then kicks off the covers and tries to find the floor with his feet. [The floor is where you'd expect it to be. The carpet is nice and soft.] * Jack stands up and reaches out to find the wall. "Yeah, there wouldn't be carpet either." [You find the wall! It is covered in wallpaper. And you also find a lightswitch.] * Jack pauses for a second to think and then flips the switch. [You are definitely not where you were when you went to sleep. (more)] [The room is red. The room is very red. The wallpaper is red. The bedspread is red. The bedframe is red. There are red chairs and a red table and a television on a red stand. And red curtains covering what you'd assume are large picture windows.] [There is a red door leading to what is probably the bathroom.] [In short, you are in a very red hotel room.] * Jack blinks as his eyes adjust to the light. "Huh." He runs a hand through his receding hair. "Not a bad place to wake up, except for the fact that I was either kidnapped or have been on the road so often that I can't keep track of where I went to sleep." [We suggest the former.] [Or something like that. Anyhow.] * Jack then searches around the room at an unhurried pace. He flips on the TV when he reaches it. * Jack is looking for interesting stuff in the drawers and closests. Not secret doors, cameras, or anything that elaborate. [The TV turns on, but there's only static.] [In the nightstand is a Gideon Bible.] [In the dresser drawers are... your clothes. And there's a familiar suitcase sitting next to them.] * Jack smiles at the Gideon bible. "Still in America apparently." He smiles more when he finds his clothes and suitcase. He also switches off the TV, because static is annoying. * Jack then checks through his suitcase to see if it has what he'd expect. [That it does.] * Jack chuckles. "Thoughtful kidnappers. Maybe the rev... naw, they'd be nice enough to leave a note." He walks over to the window and pulls open the curtains. [Outside, you see... the desert! And it's nighttime.] Hmm.. out west I guess. ::He leaves the window open and goes back to his bag, grabbing his cellphone and checking to see if it has reception and/or messages. [Your cellphone is getting no reception.] * Jack puts his cellphone back in his suitcase. He then snorts. "More bars all across America, yeah right." He then glances over himself, curious if he's wearing pajamas or normal work type clothes. [Pajamas.] [Or whatever you sleep in.] * Jack grabs a change of clothes from the dresser and his tolietries and grumbles to himself, "This wasn't really what I meant when I said I wanted a change in my life." He doesn't sound really angry though. He then goes through a normal morning routine of shower, getting dressed, and the like unless something stops him. [The bathroom is white. It has the usual: toilet, tub with shower, sink, mirror. The towels are red, though.] * Jack nods with approval. "There is such a thing as too much red." And he goes through his routine. He does take a moment to check if the towels or complimentary soaps or the like have a hotel name on them. [No name.] * Jack then goes through his morning routine. Nothing that needs to be described in detail I'd think. ;P [Not really.] * Jack emerges from the bathroom dressed in a suit. He looks over himself and sighs. "They really have brainwashed me well. Kidapped and I still dress corporate." He doesn't change though. He just grabs his suitcase and heads to the door to the room. [The door leading outside is red. There's nothing on it. No fire escape plans, room rates, or even a peephole.] * Jack glances over the door. "No way is this a real hotel. But what is it?" He then tries to open the door in hopes of finding out. [The door opens! (more)] [Yep, it's a hotel corridor. You look across and see yourself. The opposite wall is mirrored from the waist up. From the waist down, it's red.] [The carpet is a particularly LOUD shade of red. But it's nice and plush. Very plush.] [If you look up, you'll notice that the ceiling is also mirrored.] [The whole place is lit with a faint, ambient, and yes, slightly red light.] [Your room number is 405, posted on the door with large gold letters.] (Also, give me a hearing roll in #besm, please.) [You think you might have heard something as you step out, but you're really not sure.] * Jack glances around. "And I thought I liked Red." He then starts to step out but stops. "Room key..." He checks if the room has a lock and if it does he tries to find a key. (s/Red/red) [There are no SAB snipers here. Probably a good thing.] (Definitely. ;P) [There is also no lock. So there is no key.] * Jack shrugs and steps out into the hallway. "Wonder what that sound was." He glances both ways in the hallway and then walks off to the right. [To your left are more mirrors, to your right more doors.] * Jack looks over the other doors and turns around to try his luck with the mirros. [The other doors all are numbered 405.] * Jack frowns at that. "That's not helpful. Well, at least mine's at the end." He glances around the hall to try to get a real fix on where his room is before heading down the mirrored hallway. [The mirrors are... mirrors.] * Jack keeps walking. He does't pay much attention to his reflections. [And, actually, your room isn't at the end. There's more corridor to your right and left.] [But that's okay, as you're going right!] (Please give me a sight and a hearing roll in #besm.) (Well, at the end of the line of doors I meant.) (It's not. There are more doors beyond it.) (Make sight, miss hearing) [You see a shimmering light farther up the corridor. And you *think* you might hear something. Maybe voices? Maybe not.] (Retcon the end line then.) * Jack keeps going that way. He tries not to make any unnecessary noise, but he doesn't try to sneak or anything. He also tries to listen in. (Give me another hearing roll.) (Make) [Yep, those are definitely voices, though you can't quite make out what they're saying.] * Jack stops for a second and comments quietly. "Well, if they wanted to hurt me they'd probably have done it already." He keeps walking. [Heh heh heh.] [After a bit more walking, you come to a set of double doors. Yep, they're red, and have a round, mirrored window set into each one.] Huh, this must have been an expensive project. Probably not just me here. ::he opens the door:: [Inside you find...] [...something that will be revealed in four days' time!] [What happens next? You'll find out at ACen!] [Final Intro End!]
