[ We find Alcinoe knocking on the door to Will's room. Whatever could it be for? Session Start! ] * Will looks up from his desk where he's been doing some last minute studying. "Come on in! It's not locked." * Alcinoe opens the door and steps in. She's still not back up to par, but she's walking around and eating normally, so that's gotta be a plus. She gives a little smile and wave. "Howdy, Will. Uh, can we talk a minute?" * Will smiles as he sees that Alci's doing better now. "Hi Alci! Of course! What did you want to talk about?" * Alcinoe heads over to where Will's sitting. "Uh. Ah... um." She looks away, then around, then finally settles for sitting on the edge of his desk. And she takes a breath. "It ain't workin'." * Will blinks. "What ain't workin', Alci?" * Alcinoe winces. "Us." * Will sits there silently as Alci's word sinks in. * Alcinoe folds her hands and looks down at them. Ah don't wanna lead ya on. An'... you're a great guy, but... * Alcinoe falls silent for a moment, then says, "Ah don't wanna lead ya on. We both deserve better than that." * Will starts to panic slightly. This new development was a bit unexpected to say the least. "I..I..I know that we are very differant. B..b..but I've been trying to change that." * Alcinoe looks shocked. "No!" She tries to calm herself. "No. Ya don't need ta turn into me an'..." She groans. "Will, it's just... Ah'm sorry. But Ah'm not findin'... yer a great friend and-" She lets out a frustrated sigh. Ah jus' don't know if Ah want ta spend the rest of my life with ya. An' it's never been said, but Ah know that's the way ya think. * Will stands up starts pacing around Alci slowly, turning every couple of steps towards Alci as if trying to say something but the words always fail him. He finally sits down heavily on his bed and sighs. * Alcinoe lets him pace and sit and sigh. She stays, half-seated on the edge of his desk, waiting for him to say something. [ A heart-wrenching silence hangs over the room. ] * Will keeps his head down and speaks softly, trying to keep his voice steady. "So...where do we go from here now?" Well, it... sounds dumb, but we're gonna still hafta see each other, now that Ah live here an' all. If it'd be easier for ya if Ah moved out, Ah could go back to Red Lightnin'. * Will shakes his head firmly at that suggestion. "No! Don't go back!" * Alcinoe blinks, and her expression actually gives way to a vague amusement. "All right. Um..." Ah mean, if we could still be friends - bet that also sounds dumb - that'd be fine. An' Ah'll still help ya with studyin'. * Alcinoe takes a moment to bite her lip. "But we're not official anymore. You can see other people. Me too. Obligation lifted." She waves her hand. "An' stuff." * Will stands up and faces away from Alcinoe in a weak attempt to hide his tears. He tries to sound strong as he speaks. "Thank you for..for telling me this straight." *sniff* "Is there anything thing else?" * Alcinoe actually looks up at Will. She gets to her feet, walking over to him. * Alcinoe hesitates a moment, then wraps him in a warm hug. "Ah'm sorry." She sounds like she actually means it, and hey, it's not like she can lie. "Ah didn't wanna hurt ya." * Will tries his best not to sniffle and nods. * Alcinoe pulls away and offers him a wan smile. "So, yeah. Ah'll... see ya around, then." * Will stands still in place and nods. "Bye Alci." *and very softly* "see ya around." * Alcinoe nods. And takes a step away. She looks at him for a while, then she turns and walks quickly out. [ Session End. ]
