[ It's a lovely day outside the Flying Couches. Across the way from the exit you took is the Red Lightning house, where a few of the outside tables are seeing some buisness. The butterflies are out today, yes they are. ] [ Whatever will Seylin and Tia do? Let's find out! ] * Tia springs out into the sunlight and runs around in circles as she waits for Seylin to join her outside. * Seylin stretches and unfolds her wings slightly. "Ahh, that's better. I was feeling kinda lost in there, and it's too nice a day to spend all of it inside." * Tia nods and grins. "I always feel lost when they start talking about that stuff!" I took some fighting classes, but I'm not a stategist. I could be, I guess, if I worked at it, but to be honest... it's not all that interesting to me. I'd rather avoid a fight than charge into one, really. The headmistress said I didn't have to take any more strategy classes. I wasn't too good at it anyway, I guess. But you're definitely a really good fighter! You really think so, Sey? * Tia shuffles her wings bashfully. Yeah! You're strong, and you're brave, and you've even got your very own talking axe now! Aww, thanks Sey! * Tia grins. "You're good yourself, y'know." I'm just okay. I'm much better at being sneaky, though. I don't get to do it very often anymore. * Tia nods and grins. "I'm no good at sneaky." [ This is true. ] Well, we're all good at different things. We just need to practice working together more. Alcinoe said she had an idea. And, of course, there's Kenji. * Tia nods thoughtfully. How do you feel about all this invasion preparation stuff, Tia? I mean, aside from feeling kinda lost. * Tia chews on Mr. Teddy's ear as she thinks this through. Well, I dunno. I said I would help carry rocks and hit bad men. I think that sounds okay so far. What about you? * Seylin nods. "I said I'd help Ariake with traps and stuff. I studied traps a lot in my sneaky classes, so I can probably be pretty helpful there. Other than that, I'll just help out wherever people think I can." * Tia nods, smiling. "It'll be fun, right?" I guess. So long as I can help out. * Tia nods. "That's what I think too! I'm good at swimming and carrying rocks. It'll be just like summer camp!" Where'd you go to summer camp? * Tia thinks. "Somewhere around here, I think, before I started going to school here." I never actually went to camp, but Patrick and I pretty much spent all our time outside during the summer. It was fun! * Tia grins. "You knew Patrick since you were little?" Yeah! We've known each other for a really long time! That must be nice, to know a friend for so long. It is. But I think you and I'll be friends for a long time too, right? * Tia nods eagerly. "Yup! Forever!" * Seylin grins at Tia. "That'd be nice." * Tia grins. "Mr. Teddy wants to be your friend too." I'd like to be his friend as well. Would he mind if I shook his hand? * Tia grins and stick out Mr. Teddy's arm. "Not at all!" * Seylin takes Mr. Teddy's paw and gently shakes it. "Good!" She then looks at Tia. "So, you're feeling pretty good about things right now? Like classes? And friends?" * Tia nods, beaming. "Yup! Everything's pretty good. I think I did good on my tests, and I love my friends." * Seylin smiles. "We all care about you too, Tia. I'm glad that things are good for you." * Tia grins. "Thanks!" If you ever are worried about anything, though, or you just want to talk about things, I'm always here for you. That's what friends are for, after all! * Tia nods. "Thanks, Sey. Same for me!" She grins. * Seylin giggles. "Thanks, Tia! So, you wanna go flying for a bit? Or stay here and watch the butterflies some more?" Ooh! Let's go fly some. I haven't done that in a while! Well, that's just sad! We need to fix that right away! * Seylin spreads her wings. "Ready?" * Tia does likewise and nods gleefully. * Seylin takes off.
