* Seylin has just come out of the shower. She's fully dressed in a clean tunic and pants, but her feet are bare. She's toweling her hair dry as she walks back to her room. * Patrick is standing near the exit, having listened to Seylin's singing while she showered. "You've got a great voice, you know." He smiles at her. Oh! * Seylin blushes. "It's not all that good. It's not like I practice or anything." * Patrick winks to Seylin. "Sure it is! I'm sure bards would be envious of your voice." * Seylin shakes her head. "Some of those bards are very good. And they spend hours working on their music." Ah, but I didn't say all bards. Although they would definetly be jealous. I know I would be. ~_^ * Seylin hmmms. "I haven't heard you sing in a long time." * Patrick starts. "Me, sing? Aheh... I really don't have a good voice." * Seylin smiles. "Try." Nono, I couldn't. I'd make the windows crack. * Seylin laughs. "So, have you been working on things for the band lately, or have you been too busy with finals and getting ready for us to leave?" Mmm, I've been thinking about it, espically with Tebryn. ~_^ He plays keyboard, ya know. Oh, really? (I'd assume that by now, Seylin knows about Alcinoe's mission and how it went?) (If someone told her, sure! Alci doesn't really go around telling people.) (If Patrick knows, then he'd have told Seylin.) ( Sure. ) Yup! And I can figure out how to use an electric bass or guitar, I bet. I'll bet we'll be really good! If we ever have a chance to practice. Which we aren't going to for a while. * Seylin sighs. "Oh, well." We've got much more important stuff to concentrate on. Yeah, like kickin' evil ass. I've been practicing hard, and I've been studying hard. I feel better about my abilities now. * Patrick nods and smiles. "That's great. So have I, actually. And Kenji got me this new bow too." Really? Can I see it? Sure! * Patrick takes his quiver (yes, he carries it with him) and pulls out a bow. It doesn't look very special, besides being masterfully crafted and as strong as any of Pat's bows normally. "It's called a Tao Bow." What's it do? Even if you can't see your target, and even if it's hiding behind something, if there's a path to them, this bow will find it automatically. Wow! That's really cool! Kenji's done a lot to help us. Even if... Even if he can be a real jackass sometimes? * Seylin sighs. "I'm not sure if he really likes me, but at this point, I'm not sure if it matters. He seems to think I'm competent enough, so. And I really *have* been working hard!" The fact that he had that weapon enchanted proves that he thinks you're good. He's not the kind to waste that much effort on someone who he didn't think would be worthwhile. ~_^ * Seylin nods. "I'm glad. I feel like I'm on my way to becoming a true Celestial Knight." Then she smiles. You are one, how could there be a doubt? ^^ Well, I've still got lots to work on, I think. You can always get better! Of course. I'm always getting better too! So... do you think we're ready to go out and find more of the altar? After the finals are over, hell yeah. Do you? I think most of us are ready. Who isn't? Well, Kenji seems to have been born ready. Alcinoe's probably ready, if Max is coming, I'll bet he's ready, Tia's always ready to hit things... I'm not sure about Will and Istvan, though. Yeah, they seem to lack... spine. Will's obviously upset about something, though I didn't want to poke him, and we rarely ever seen Istvan outside of his forge. Yeah, I really wish I knew what. And Istvan really needs to get on the ball. We can't afford mishaps like last adventure. * Seylin looks down for a second. "From now on, if I see any weird portals, I'm going and getting you guys instead of heading in on my own." * Patrick pats Seylin on the shoulder. "At least get me." ~_^ I'll always get you. * Seylin feels a jolt from below. "Whoa, Tia must be really excited about something." * Patrick feels it too. "Yeah. Think we should head down?" Sure. Unless there was something you wanted to tell me? You did come up here, after all. You mean *other* than I love you and that you have an awesome voice? * Seylin gives him a quick kiss. "I love you, too." * Patrick kisses her back and smiles. Ladies first? * Seylin laughs. "Okay." * Seylin heads back downstairs to the common room. * Patrick follows. Score!
