* HKenji steps out the front door back into the blessed sunlight, then 
steps to the side and waits expectantly.
* Alcinoe walks out, taking a breath of the air and looking up at the 
sun.
<HKenji> You have concerns.
<Alcinoe> Ah've always got concerns.
* Alcinoe closes the door gently behind her.
<HKenji> You have particular concerns right now, though.
* Alcinoe leans back against the closed door. "It was really easy."
<HKenji> Everything went exactly as planned.
<Alcinoe> Yeah.
* Alcinoe looks at Kenji. "It won't stay that way."
<HKenji> I know.
<Alcinoe> Yeah, but do they know that?
<HKenji> Patrick does.
<HKenji> Seylin will understand before we go after the next piece.
* Alcinoe nods. "Ah'm not so worried about them."
<HKenji> If I had a choice, I wouldn't take the others on the next 
journey.
<Alcinoe> Yeah.
* Alcinoe sighs. "Ah just... Ah dunno, it all feels too easy."
<HKenji> Then understand that this is only the calm before the storm.
<HKenji> For all that we should not have been able to escape that 
battle unscathed, let alone destroy it without taking serious damage, 
the foes we will face soon make it look as an ant before a warhorse.
* Alcinoe smiles a little. "At least the horse's got a hard time 
steppin' on the ant."
<HKenji> Nobody escapes the shadowlands unscathed, Alcinoe.  We will 
pay a price in blood for retrieving the third piece of the altar.
* Alcinoe nods. "Ah think Ah understand."
<HKenji> We will be as prepared as we can, but in the end...
* HKenji sighs a little.
<HKenji> We will burn that bridge when we come to it.
<HKenji> Let's enjoy this moment while we can.  Time enough to worry 
about the future tomorrow.
<Alcinoe> Yeah.
* Alcinoe looks back towards the rest of Sunhome. "Ah guess so."
