[ We find Our Heroes in the midst of combat! God, now we're doing multi-episode fights. Can we get any more DBZ? I hope not. ] (Hey, at least we don't spend episodes buffing) ( I'm sure if we had more casters, we would. ) [ But, now we join the fight, already in progress! SEssion Start! ] [ Plant's turn. :( ] [ The plant lashes out at Patrick with three vines! ] * Patrick takes a solid hit from one in the chest, but as it goes to pick him up he slips out *through* the vine becoming semi-transparent. The other two massive vines slam at him, but pass right through him only to impact the floor with a couple of very nasty dents. * Tia growls menacingly at the fat vine wrapped around Will and tears into it viciously with axe and claws. * Patrick draws his bow, taking careful aim at the remaining vine on Will, and fires a single arrow through it. This severs a vital location in the vine and causes it to go limp. As he releases the arrow he vanishes, appearing a good 50 feet away from the vines. "Will, keep Kenji up!" * WillS lands somewhat awkwardly and pulls some of the residue green stuff off him. "Thanks Pat, I'm on it." * Kenji takes just an instant to gather himself from reaching out to Will, then gathers his hands into claws and tears the everliving hell out of one (or maybe two) of the plants trying desperately to bind him, but they -still- refuse stubbornly to drop. "I swear, tonight is salad for dinner!" EVIL salad! As opposed to the not-so-evil kind. * WillS spreads his hand apart and with a loud yell floods the entire room with healing energy. Unfortunately Seylin and Patrick ran too far off to get its effect. ( There's non-evil salad? ) Now THAT is high quality healing, thank Amaterasu. [ The room gets brighter for a moment as positive energy fills it, and then the reddish darkness creeps back in to where it was. ] * WillS grins. "Glad you approve, Kenji. Praise Bahamut!" * Seylin comes streaking back in, shouting a battle cry at the top of her lungs. She draws Kiyomaro back and slams it into one of the vines holding Kenji with all her might, a bright flash of light emanating when she hits it. [ Two vines reach out to smack Tia, and then try to grapple her! Tia, being mighty as she is, manages to prevent one from grappling her, but the other makes it. ] [ The plant is very sad at failing to grapple someone, but it squeezes Kenji for consolation. Was that a rib that just went 'crack'? ] * Tia roars in indignation as she is grappled. * Tia struggles fiercely with the vine, digging into it angrily with her sharp claws. Tia, duck! * Tia quickly ducks. * Patrick starts unloading arrows from his quiver into the vine around Tia, using her ducking to get the first hit in and continuing the momentum pelting the one location of the vine with so many acid arrows it starts to eat through. When he's finished there are *literally* twelve arrows crammed into the one location, seeping over with green acid. * Kenji slams one elbow and both feet into the base of the last plant grappling him, using the leverage to thrust himself out, just barely into range to tag Seylin for a moment, sending a stream of sunlight out from his soul. Thank you, Kenji. [ Patrick does loads of badness to the vine he attacks, but it's still hanging on to Tia, although looking bad. ] * WillS holds his sword aloft and summons multiple torrents of flames at the vines. [ Flame burns at the vines holding Kenji and Tia, and the one holding Tia looks about to crumble. The remaining one on Kenji looks pretty strong, tho. ] * Seylin hovers in front of the vine holding Kenji. Then she's nothing but a blur as she slashes and stabs and slashes and stabs and slashes and stabs. [ After the repeated maulings, the vine finally collapses into evil maneating salad. ] * Kenji swiftly redirects one vine into the one still mauling Tia, setting her up for a deadly mauling. * Tia finally tears free of the vine confining her with a triumphant roar and, shredding the last of the crumbling vegetable matter between her claws, she immediately pounces on the last vine remaining, sending bits of pureed vegetable flying in a frenzy of arcing axe-blade and dragon claw. [ The nearby statue of Vrak the Distinctly Malicious now has a cheerful if haphazard rose wreath on its horned, demonic head. ] [ And that seems to be it for the deadly plants. ] I have HAD IT with these overly touchy monsters. * Patrick walks up. "Hey Will, can you throw me a heal when you've got the time?" * Seylin lands and sheathes her halberd. "Whew. That was a workout." * Patrick asides to Kenji. "They only get worse, you know." :D * Tia shakes off the plant matter from Mr. Axe with a somewhat distasteful grimace on her face, then examines a dollop of the stuff still remaining on her fingertip as if contemplating whether it'd be safe to eat it. Anyone know if this stuff's poisonous? Probably. Best not to eat it. * WillS nods to Pat, "Of course. How badly hurt is everyone?" I'm fine. I'm good. * Tia nods and flicks the plant stuff off her hand. "Blech." I took a solid hit there, but other than that I'm fine. I've got a few bruises and stuff. * WillS nods. "K. Come on over then. I'll see what I can do." 'K! * Tia trots over to Will with her tail wagging. * Patrick walks over to Will. "Nice job cleaving those vines by the way. I was worried for a moment but you really pulled through." ^^ * WillS frowns in concentration for a bit as he channels pure positive energy into both Tia and Patrick. "There, feeling better?" * Tia beams. "Yup! Thanks!" Heh. Thanks for getting me out of those vines Pat. * WillS gives Tia a pat. "And you too, Tia! That was much appreciated." * Patrick stretches and flexes momentarily. "Yeah, thanks Will. I can even feel the rib in the right place again." * Seylin gives Patrick a quick and gentle hug. "Good." * Tia beams wider. * Patrick laugh and smiles, giving Sey a hug back. * Kenji politely ignores them. * Tia looks around again. "So, um, what's up with the big statues?" Don't ask, they might start moving. [ And they all lived happily ever after! Well, except for all that mucking around in the Lower Planes. Session End! ]
