[ We find Our Heroes being heroic! ] [ They're back in Carceri, with Alci trucking along with the others. They get near the demon's fort, and find the entrance has been redone with the remains of the vine monster they killed yesterday, which has apparently been petrified. ] [ Peeking around the corner, Seylin sees three archers and some big red antlered guys with swords. Our Heros need a plan! Maybe. ] [ Session Start! ] * Seylin quickly makes her way back to the group. "Six demons back there. Three archers, three with swords." One bow, or two? ...or three? * Alcinoe stretches and peers up at the antler sorts. Four arms and two bows per archer. And the ones with the swords are really quite large. Like, oh, 20 feet or so? * Patrick hmmms. "That's pretty big." * Kenji frowns. * WillS nods. [ Alcinoe has seen the antler sorts before. Recently. ] [ Since y'all are peering around a corner, tho, they haven't spotted you, yet. ] Okay, here's the plan. I step out and draw fire from the archers. Once they've taken their shots, everybody else can come out and go on the offensive. [ Demons tend to be lazy when they're not killing people or ruining souls. ] * Alcinoe rolls her eyes. "Ah've seen the antler guys 'fore." ...really? What can they do? Some sorta life drainin' thing. They hit lotsa times, too. Right. Nothing to be overly concerned about. Easiest way around that is not to get hit. * Alcinoe nods. "Didn't fight 'em for long. Mostly just scared 'em back into the portal." If they come out after me, Alci and Will stay with me. and Pat and Seylin go for the archers. Keep'em busy, we'll take out the archers. Let us know if you need backup though. If they -don't- come for me, you should still concentrate on the archers. * Seylin nods. "Got it." Our position is better if we force the big guys to come for us. Will, keep people healed up. Will do! Leave the healing to me. But if you see an opportunity to make with some holy fire, go for it. Everybody ready? Ready! * WillS nods. "Ok." * Patrick takes out his Tao Bow, lined with elven script since its re- enchantment. "Ready." * Alcinoe nods and draws her sword. * Seylin pulls out her halberd. * WillS pulls out his sword too. * Kenji steps out from behind cover, shouts, "INCOMING!" and looses a volley of arrows straight into one arrow demon's face. * Kenji looks taken aback as the demon looks not the slightest bit dead, and switches stance, Soramaro melting into the shape of a katana as he does so. [ Six arros very nearly hit Kenji, three embedding themselves in the ground... which slowly sucks them in. ] [ Initiative! ] * Kenji draws Yomiji, Who Bars the Way, and takes a defensive stance, waiting for the demons to come to him. [ As everyone waits for the demons to come out and get killed, they do something surprising; they bite and throw little black iron orbs at Kenji, instead. ] * Kenji charges straight up and over the fence, stopping for a moment atop it to grab a demon by the head and fling it over. It is very shortly followed by the other two archer demons, two of which end up, a few seconds later, right next to Alcinoe and Seylin, and the other of which gets tossed over the cliff like so much garbage. [ One of the big guys gets a heavy hit in on Kenji in the meantime. Not that it stops him. ] [ Seylin, go! ] Thanks, Kenji! * Seylin proceeds to raise her halberd, then slam it into the fallen demon. And again. And again. And again. Because, really, it's the kind of thing you don't want getting up and running away if you can help it, and thanks to Kenji, it's in excellent position for her to ensure just that. [ The demon looks pretty awful after Sey's finished. But then it and the other archer demon disappear. ] [ Just vanished, into evil air. ] * Alcinoe probably notices the vanishing demons, but she doesn't react, as she's spending her time running straight for that prickly wall. Instead of charging through, though, she yells, leaping high into the air and over to the other side as her sword gathers a golden-white light. [ The demons all see her and pale. One shouts, "IT'S THE PALADIN!" The other two just start fishing desperately in a bag at their side. ] * Alcinoe actually lets out a short laugh before she lands, cutting deeply into the nearest demon on the way. [ The demon cries in pain, and lashes out desperately at Alci. ] [ The two drinkers that didn't last out at Alci pull large, fuzzy rhinoceroses out of the packs at their belts, and promptly impale them through the skull. Each then throws it, one at Alci, the other at Kenji. ] Seylin, take those archers! [ Will, go! ] Will, support Alci! * WillS lifts his sword up high and with a yell summons a torrent of holy fire down on the 3 demons, all the while being careful not to singe Alci's hair. [Session Pause!]
