[ Last time, on Canyons, Our Heroes were OH GOD MY ARM THE DEATHDRINKER GOT ME. OH IT HURTS. I... i think i'm... *falls over* ] [ ... ] [ ... ] [ Session Start. ] * Kenji takes a twisty path, arcing outward away from his target momentarily, then comes in behind Alcinoe, skirting just a few inches from her back, to plunge Soramaro into a demon's gut, then rip it straight upwards, leaving a great gaping hole where its ribcage should be. And then, bereft of its internal organs, the demon falls over. * Alcinoe grins at Kenji's sudden appearance. "Howdy." ( Wow. He moves fast for a fat guy. ;) ) ( I'm not fat, I'm morbidly obese. ) (Dude, he's on the wubertubes.) [ Seylin-chan, go! ] * Seylin zooms up towards the arrow demons. "Patrick, incoming!" She hovers behind the first demon for a second before grabbing it and hurling it towards the ground. Before the other two can react (or even notice), she zips over to the next, does a backflip, and then grabs and hurls it as well. One more quick dash, and the third follows suit. * Patrick catches Seylin's action in mid-flight as he aims up and pops each of the descending demons with an arrow, impaling one of them in the chest, another through the neck, but only hitting the third in the thigh as it all comes crashing down around him, making heavy thunks with the impact. [ One arrow demon dies on impact with the ground, the other from an arrow launched by Patrick; the last takes two shots and hits ground in bad shape, but is still breathing vile breath. ] [ The demon flips to its feet and draws its bow to fire at Patrick! ] [ Pat acts first, pegging the demon squarely in the chest with an arrow! It still manages to fire back, however. ] * Patrick phases for a moment as half of the arrows fly through him, the other half impact impact his chest. "Oh come on, is that all you got?" [ The demon bleeds in response, but it's still standing. ] [ Tia, go! ] [ The demon squares off against Patrick, and the screen goes letterboxed. Tense music plays as Patrick and the arrow demon each nock and arrow in preparation for the final shootout between the masters. ] [ And then Tia comes out of nowhere and chops the arrow demon in half. ] Thanks Tia! * Patrick vanishes in an instant and appears a bit behind Kenji and Alcinoe. "Incoming!" He fires a stream of arrows in an arc over Kenji's and Alcinoe's heads faster than an uzzi which solidly lands into the demon currently in front of them. He's nice and holey now, but he's still standing and able to fight. "Geeze, what are these guys *on*?" [ The demons bellow "DEEEAAAAATH!" in response. Must be one of those new energy drinks. ] Must've drank a full case of Bull Honkey this morning. * Alcinoe charges right through, ignoring the demons as they tear through her armor, and brings her sword down and through the unhurt drinker *hard*. Blood goes everywhere! It matches her armor. [ The deathdrinker Alci hit sputs blood, but attacks her with all he has, as does his companion! After a few seconds of beating, Alci is on the ground and lying still! ] * WillS screams at the sight of Alci's fall. With tears streaming down his face, he prays fervantly to Bahamut. His holy symbol of Bahamut starts floating in front of him and pulsates with holy energy that glows brighter and brighter. With a final blinding flash, the light concentrates down on Alcinoe's broken body. [ Alci stands next to her fallen body, clad in her gear. Her fallen body is naked and rapidly dissolving. ] * Alcinoe looks down at... er, herself, and scowls, then turns her attention up to those demons. "Arright," she says softly, and she seems quite furious now. "Which one a' y'all did that?" [ The demons look ready to soil themselves until Kenji attacks. ] * Kenji charges to Alci's side, swinging Soramaro out to one side as he goes, carving a neat groove through the abdoment of one remaining demon. [ That demon looks ready to fall, just about. ] [ And then it does. ] That's more like it, punk. * Seylin lands for a moment so she can get a running start. She doesn't *need* a running start, exactly, but jumping is more impressive when you at least start on the ground. * Seylin races forward, crouches briefly, and leaps into the air, her halberd glowing with a brilliant light. Then she brings it down on the demon as she lands, tearing through skin and muscle. [ Tia, go! ] * Tia belts out a roar and shoots powerfully through the air toward the last standing Deathdrinker in a whirlwind of silver dragon wings, Mr. Axe spinning in her hands like a ginsu knife in the hands of a sushi chef. She blasts straight through the demon, and lands on the other side as her enemy explodes spectaculary in a fountain of meaty chunks. ...And that's for beatin' up on Alci! ( er, I meant "spectacularly" ^_^;) Thanks, Tia. I'm getting really tired of these demons. And the planes. * Tia grins at Alci. "No problem, Alci! Glad you're okay." * WillS runs up after all the demons are dead and hugs Alci. "I'm so glad your back!" * Seylin lands and sheathes her halberd. "That was scary for a moment there." * Kenji lets out a long, slow sigh. * Patrick flips his bow and sheathes it. "Nice job guys." * Alcinoe hugs Will back. "Yeah, me too." They almost got me. Couldn't do anythin', really. They were going to pile on someone. I suggest you keep your means of resistance at the front of your mind. * Tia wipes off Mr. Axe on a corpse and pats it for a job well done. * Alcinoe blinks at Kenji. "Arright." * WillS suddenly smacks himself hard of head as he just thought of something. "I'm an idiot!" Forget a spell? * Kenji gives Alci a Look. * Tia blinks at Will. "Huh?" Yeah. A big interplaner portal would be throwing off huge amounts of magical energy right? Presumably. Duh. Oh. We should get moving, shouldn't we? * Alcinoe smiles faintly and gives Kenji's arm a squeeze. So I can just detect that and figure out which direction the source is! ... Next time, think of this before we all nearly die. ...repeatedly. * WillS looks abashed. "Yeah. Sorry." * Tia gives Will a hearty pat on the back. "'Sokay. We lived this time." [ Session End! ]
