[ We find Tia and Seylin together on the surface of some mistbound body of water. Tia is floating and sleeping; apparently she breaths water just fine, because she's snoring it without apparent difficulty, although the noise has just awakened Seylin. ] [ Seylin is injured. Her left leg does not feel like it should. In fact, it doesn't feel at all below a certain point, and bent backwards over Tia's side, she can't tell why. ] [ She also has absolutely no idea where she is, or how she got there. Something flits through her mind about flying through a dragon's head, but she remembers no details as yet. ] [ Session Start! ] * Seylin sits up with a gasp. "Drag... huh?" * Tia lets out another fitful snore, blowing out another lungful of bubbles. * Seylin blinks a few times and moves to examine her leg. * Tia rolls over onto her back, and her legs pedal wildly in the air for a few seconds before she resumes snoring. [ Seylin's leg is bent backwards and cut severely. Mercifully, the nerve seems to have been disconnected. The downside is, that will take some serious healing magic to fix. ] [ Tia's movement dumps Seylin in the water. ] Ahhhhh-hh! * Seylin frantically splashes towards Tia, intending to use her as a flotation device. * Tia snorts a few times in surprise and jumps to her feet...only to splash heavily back into the water. "Wh-wha..?" Tia, hold still a second. I need to hold onto you. My leg's hurt and I can't tread water. Oh, Sey! It's you! * Tia holds still and glances over at Seylin in concern. "What happened to your leg? Are you okay?" I'm not sure. It doesn't hurt, but it's going to need a lot of healing. * Tia nods and holds out a hand in case Seylin needs it. * Seylin grabs onto Tia. "Where are the others? " * Tia looks around. "Umm, dunno. When did we end up in the water?" I'm not sure. I don't remember all that much. I think we were fighting the dragon... * Tia scratches her head for a moment. "Yeah! That's the last thing I remember, too. I don't remember beating the bad dragon, though. Or the bad lady with lots of arms." Neither do I. But I doubt they would have left us alive, so... Do you mind if I sit on your back? Oh, sure. Here, lemme help you. Thanks. * Tia moves into an easier-to-reach position and slides a wing toward Seylin. "Does that work?" Yes, thank you. Welcome! * Seylin carefully boosts herself onto Tia's back, letting her injured leg dangled over the side. "You're feeling okay, I hope?" Yup, I'm okay. I don't get why I don't remember stuff, though. I'm glad you're all right. * Seylin sighs. "I don't understand. There's no way we could have escaped from that fight, is there? Unless someone cast a spell and warped us away, or... something." * Tia grins. "Thanks! I'm glad you're...mostly all right." She still looks worried, though, and she bends over to inspect Seylin's injured leg. [ Tia's no healer, but she's sure people-legs aren't supposed to bend that way. ] * Tia winces. "Think Will might be around somewhere? He's probably the only one who can make your leg better." * Tia starts paddling around the water, looking for signs of their friends. You don't think we're dead, do you? I always thought heaven would be sorta like this with lots of water everywhere for bathing and playing. * Seylin gives a small smile. "I don't think we're dead, no." [ Tia sees no signs of friends. :( She hears ducks quacking, tho. ] * Tia smiles back. * Seylin starts looking around for any sign of things. Ooh, what was that? Ducks? * Tia paddles toward the quacking. [ Tia sees a shore! And there's some little duckies on the shore. ] Duckies! * Tia quickens her paddling and speeds toward the shore and ducks. * Seylin shifts slightly to keep her balance. Mr. Duckie, Mr. Duckie! * Seylin scans the shore for signs of things that are not ducks. [ The duckies take one look at Tia and decide they need to be somewhere safer. They begin wadling off in a hurry, quacking alarmedly. ] [ Seylin sees trees, grass, and what looks like a bench of wrought-iron and wood. ] Oops, I scared 'em away. Mr. Duckie, please come back! I'm not gonna hurt you! * Tia wades carefully out of the water, mindful of Seylin on her back. Tia, can you move over to that bench there? I'm going to try and see if I can summon something to heal me. Oh, okay. Sure! Thank you. * Tia moves over by the bench and sinks into a crouch. * Seylin spreads her wings for balance and slowly lowers herself onto the bench. Okay. If I can summon the most powerful thing I can manage... I'm pretty sure it can heal. * Seylin closes her eyes and begins to concentrate, reaching out with her mind towards the Celestial Plane. [ Seylin feels an odd, foggy sensation blocking her attempt at summoning aid. ] * Seylin opens her eyes and sighs. "It's not working." * Tia looks on sympathetically. "Hmm...let me try!" * Tia settles down comfortably by the bench, closes her eyes, and lapses into silent prayer. Wait, before you start... Tia, grab my leg by the foot. When I tell you, pull gently until I tell you to stop pulling. * Tia opens her eyes. "Oh, okay. I can do that!" * Tia takes Sey's foot. "Ready!" * Seylin grits her teeth and grasps the bench. "Go." * Tia tugs carefully. * Seylin looks down until she's pretty sure it's set. "Okay, stop." * Tia stops! * Seylin takes a couple of deep breaths. Better? In a manner of speaking. Now go ahead and try your cure spells. Okay! * Tia finishes preparing and attempts to heal Seylin's wounds. [ The positive energy Tia channels just-so heals Seylin's leg wound most of the way. ] * Tia opens her eyes and cheers when she sees that Seylin's leg is better. "It worked!" * Seylin hugs Tia. "Yay! Thank you!" * Tia hugs Seylin back - gently, just in case. I think I can walk on this. Just let me lean on you, please. ( Tia's hug only does nonlethal damage this time! ^_~ ) Okay! * Tia offers Seylin her hand. * Seylin takes Tia's hand, then very gently lowers her leg to the ground and puts a small bit of weight on it. Feel okay? Yes. Thank you so much! You're always welcome, Sey. * Tia grins. * Seylin smiles back. "Okay, let's go look for the others." Yup! I hope they're okay. Me too. * Tia helps Seylin along and looks around for any sort of familiar face. Kenji? Will? Pat? Where are you guys? * Tia hollers in every direction. [ Tia and Seylin see little in the way of people, and the fog blocks most of the scenery. The bench is near a little paved path, however, and so they follow that. ] [ Soon, they reach a large gate with an odd, rushing sound on the other side. ] * Tia listens at the gate. That's a strange noise... * Tia nods. "What do you think it is? And do you recognize this place at all? I don't think I do..." * Seylin shakes her head. "I've never seen this place before. And it almost sounds like wind, or water..." Hmm. Think we should knock? Just be prepared for whatever might be on the other side. * Tia nods, keeping a hand firmly on the shaft of Mr. Axe as she knocks firmly at the gate. [ There is a startled sound on the other side of the gate. "Er, one moment!" There's a ratling of keys and a lock tumbling before the gate is pushed open. A small, mousey fellow with huge spectacles and a 'PARK STAFF' shirt is on the otherside, looking way, way up at both Tia and Seylin. After a moment of behilding them, he faints, but he's smiling goofily. ] Ack! * Tia reaches out to catch the fainting man. Oh dear. [ For their part, Seylin and Tia see beyond them a large, open expanse of what looks like black stone with yellow lines painted on it. Odd contrivances race along them faster than horses (or even Tias); contrivances with shiny paint, windows showing people inside, and fat, black wheels. ] [ And just beyond all of this - which is much louder, now that the gate is open - is a massive wall of buildings stretching into the clouds above, lined in glass and stone. ] Whoa! What are those? * Tia points excitedly at the moving things. I... I don't know. But they're amazing! * Tia nods and gapes, still holding the unconscious park employee with one arm. [ Session End! ]
