[Date: December 23rd, 2015. Time: 2040 hours.] [Hans's diagnosis of Makoto was odd at best, given that he said he ended up with two brain wave patterns. But that doesn't matter, because he's using one of them right now. And seriously tripping out. Hans is trying to prepare something to put him back down, but will he be done in time? And stop groaning in pain?] [Start of File.] [Order: Makoto, Xiang-Fei, Olivia, random crewmembers, TJ, Aaron, Hans.] (Can someone tell me what's going on?) ( Makoto is batfuck insane and you guys have to try to calm him down before he kills you all. ) (Gotcha, so my job is to run and hide.) ( If you don't think I can do it, remember that I have a room full of crates to work with here. ) (But no little debbies.) ( you fuckers didn't bring my little debbies? bastards. ) (Though that might just make Makoto angry.) (No doubt about you being able to kill me. Hence, the running and hiding and screaming.) * Makoto dashes off across the room through the crate stacks, away from TJ and Aaron. [Xiang-Fei's turn.] * Xiang-Fei blocks the door! She looks at Aaron for guidance. (Yes, like I know how to deal with homicidal maniacs. ;p) (Of course you do!) (Oh, well that settles everything, then!) (What do they *teach* you in spy school?) (Yeah, really!) (I didn't go to spy school! I was an accountant!) * Aaron nods absently, mostly keeping his eyes on Makoto. [Olivia!] * Olivia looks at the bolting Makoto, screams, and hides behind what's most convenient to hide behind! (Full defense or whatever it is.) 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6-4) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 3. [Xiang-Fei vallantly guards the door. But after a little while, she notices that Makoto's not really RUNNING for the door. Curious.] 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6-2) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 6. [The random crewmembers curse and scream a lot and basically waste a lot of time. TJ's turn.] (Wow, sounds like me) * T.J. pulls a pistol out of his jacket. He lowers the gun to his side instead of raising it to try to aim. He looks over at the crate stacks, trying to catch sight of Makoto. "Hey, man, you keep freaking out like that, you're gonna get hurt. So just chill, okay?" His voice is steady, but there's a touch of uncertainty in it nonetheless. (Holding?) (Actually, drawing the weapon counts as his action, doesn't it?) (If there's no lightning draw, yes.) (Then there you go.) [Aaron's turn.] * Aaron makes sure his hands are visible, so Makoto can see he's not holding a weapon or anything, and moves a bit closer to the crates. (If moving doesn't take all of my turn, then holding action. If it does, then I'm not. ;p) [Hans keeps working on preparing the sedative. It'll take another round to finish preparing the needle, especially since he's hurt.] (And it doesn't. Action held.) [Makoto's turn.] * Makoto runs full tilt at the wall, leaping at the last minute, planting both feet on the wall on either side of the fire extinguisher, and ripping it off the wall. He rolls back to his feet easily with the momentum of the pull and yanks the pin out, brandishing the extinguisher like a gun. You can all just back off and let me out of here! I ain't goin' in! [Xiang-Fei] * Xiang-Fei leaves her post at the door, grabbing at Makoto's outstreached hand. 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6-4) and gets a natural 4 for a result of 0. 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-2) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 6. * Makoto cuts loose with a blast of fire extinguisher right in Xiang- Fei's face. (Is it wrong to be *very* amused right now?) (Yes.) (Feel ashamed. Feel very ashamed.) (Damn.) 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6-3) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 4. [Xiang-Fei gets out of the way of the blast. Makoto needs to defend.] 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-3) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 2. [Makoto steps out of the way of the grab.] Stupid pigs. * Xiang-Fei is undaunted, and tries again! 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6-4) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 4. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-3) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 6. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-3) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 7. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-3) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 2. ( there, dammit. ) [Makoto, by sheer luck, manages to dance out of the way again. [Olivia. And if you're not going to do anything for a while (other than occassionally comment), just tell me so we can speed things up.] (Just rolling to check something.) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for TJ (2d6) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 5. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Ryan (2d6) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 8. (Yes, I'm hiding.) [Olivia hides. Most of the crewmen run for the stairs, but there's a few who start heading after Makoto. One makes a grab for his extinguisher, but misses as he jerks away.] [TJ's turn.] * T.J. sidesteps, making sure his line of fire isn't blocked by Xiang-Fei or Aaron. He raises his gun, but holds his fire. "Don't make me do this." (Hold) No make him do that. [Aaron.] * Aaron makes doubly-sure that he's not in TJ's line of fire. "You're lost and confused, and this isn't what you think it is. Please stop." (Holding.) [Hans finishes up his sedative mixture and puts it into his syringe. "Ready. Just gotta hold him down for it. I'm not having another needle break over this guy."] [Makoto.] I try to! * Makoto ducks away from Xiang-Fei and runs off across the bay, dodging between stacks of crates like a pro. * Aaron sighs. "Easier said than done." (Acro roll, Makoto.) 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-3) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 5. ( made ) (Just?) ( just ) [Makoto maneuvers inbetween the crates, putting a decent amount between him and Xiang-Fei and making him a bit harder to pursue. It's her turn.] * Xiang-Fei chases after Makoto! 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6-2) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 8. ( Or not ) ( haha bitch suck it. ) [Xiang-Fei tries to chase after Makoto, but she doesn't quite maneuver as successfully through the crates. Her foot hits the side of one of them and she stumbles.] [Olivia still hides. The men trying to pursue take their time around the crates, but don't manage to make much headway. TJ's turn. He's got an obscured shot as Makoto runs through cover.] * T.J. tries to keep his aim on Makoto for a second, but as his target runs behind cover, T.J. grimaces. "Aw Hell." And he takes off, in hot pursuit of Makoto through the crates. (Same roll.) (What Acro specialty?) (Balance would work.) 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for TJ (2d6-3) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 3. (I had Tumbling. That's a make by 4, regardless.) [TJ manages to make it through enough so that he has a cleared shot. Which he can take if he so desires.] * T.J. takes the shot! As he runs after Makoto, he brings the gun up and fires on the go. 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for TJ (2d6-4) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 5. (Made by 2.) 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-2) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 6. ( Missed. ) (Er, sorry, by 1.) (Was it called or straight shot?) (Straight.) [Makoto takes a bullet in the gut. That'll probably slow him down. It's leaking all over his nice shirt.] FUCK! YOU PEOPLE AREN'T SUPPOSED TO SHOOT, DAMMIT! You is no to be running! [Hans looks up at TJ and yells, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!? We want to *stop* him, not put him in a fucking pine box!"] ( :o ) [Aaron's turn.] (Well, Xiang-Fei's opinion may differ.) (I think it does.) "I-" T.J. breaks off. He looks kind of lost. "I thought he wasn't supposed to get away." * Aaron takes off after Makoto as well, and (if he gets close enough) tries to tackle him. Sure, Makoto'll kick his ass even if it *does* work, but it might slow him down. (And if he doesn't get close enough, he's still running.) (Acro roll, first.) (Any specialty?) (Balance was what he said earlier.) (Balance. You're trying to manuever through a maze of crates at top speed.) (*scrolls up* Right.) 2d6-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Aaron (2d6-1) and gets a natural 3 for a result of 2. (Yep.) [Aaron manages to make crate dodging look easy. He's within range to tackle.] 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Aaron (2d6-2) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 7. (Missed by 1.) (Ker-splat!) * Olivia keeps hiding! [Unfortunately, Aaron misses the tackle. Fortunately, he dives into a low stack of crates and doesn't get buried.] (Go me! ^_^) [Hans curses at TJ. "Yeah, but he's already insane enough without people from his own team shooting him in the stomach." He tries to run after Makoto himself and cut him off, but it takes him longer than he thinks.] [Makoto.] * Makoto turns and runs straight at the hull of the ship, twirling in a circle halfway to wing the extinguisher at the waiting porthole. 2d6-3. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-3.) and gets a natural 11 for a result of 8. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-3) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 3. ( Stupid typos. ) ( also, I fucking hate Dicey. ) (He's your own creation! ( He's not, actually ) (Oh.) (It's like every science fiction story ever!) (Well, then, share in our hate.) ( He's made from code I got off teh intarweb. I just reach up his ass and tinker once in a while ) (Humanity programs the dicebots, but then the dicebots turn against us.) (Hee.) ( regardless, I fling teh fucking extinguisher. FLING. ) [Makoto manages to smash the porthole with the tinkling of glass. Freedom awaits outside. And water. Lots of it.] * Makoto follows right the hell after the extinguisher, diving straight for the open porthole. [Xiang-Fei's turn.] * Xiang-Fei grabs the crate she tripped over and flings it out the porthole, after Makoto. ( Total attack ) 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6-2) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 8. ( DR ) 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6-2) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 3. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Makoto (2d6-3) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 2. [Makoto's jump manages to miss the crate flying at him. It lands in the water and bobs up on the surface.] (Great, we can create a crate path for him to jump across.) [Makoto lands shortly after. End combat.] *splash* * Xiang-Fei watches him hit the water. "He gone." * Aaron extracts himself from the crates. "That... did not go how I was expecting. Can he even swim?" [Hans rubs his head. "The hell should I know. What was he on anyways?"] * T.J. skids to a stop. He looks down at the gun in his hands, from which a faint whiff of smoke is still emerging, and says nothing. I have no idea. * Aaron runs over to the porthole to see if there's any sign of Makoto swimming off. What we come here for? That's a good question. Should have locked him up long ago. Who know hhow many people he kill now? [Bob comes running to the group. "What went on down here? I heard gun fire."] He wasn't actually trying to *kill* anyone here, though. * T.J. looks up at Bob. He's holding a gun, so the dots may be connectable, but he doesn't answer. He outnumbered. [Hans shakes his head. "No. No he wasn't." He winces and holds his stomach. "Ow. Damn."] I don't think that would have mattered if he were determined to do it. ( Please. makoto has you outnumbered 1 to 4. ) Yes it would! If he try, I stop him. * Aaron looks out the window again. "I never even met the guy before," T.J. says to no one in particular. * Xiang-Fei looks to TJ. "Be happy for that." [Bob looks at TJ, then shakes his head. "I don't know what to think of all of this. Micky's goin' fucking ballistic. Things here are going to hell and back. I've gotta get outta this business." I understand how you feel. * Xiang-Fei nods. "I'm not even supposed to be *in* this business," T.J. replies, in a very calm and somewhat detached manner. [Hans glances at TJ curiously. "Really? What business are you supposed to be in?" "Driving, flying, that sort of thing," T.J. replies absently. With a gun? "Hey, man, I been shot at already tonight, okay?" "Ask him, he was there." T.J. waves at Aaron. Really? By who? Someone who we thought was Ryan for a few brief moments. We saw him around the docks earlier. * Olivia stays hiding, but peeks out when things settle down a little. "'Snot like I'm packin' for no reason," T.J. mutters. [Hans looks at Aaron and TJ for a moment. "So...no one followed us here?"] No, he ran off. "And I flew through a damn warzone my first day on the job," T.J. adds, still muttering. "Lots of people shot at us then." [Hans nods to TJ. "And I'm sure there'll be plenty more."] * T.J. doesn't seem to have really heard Hans's comment. This is probably for the best. Now what we do? Do you want to try and follow him by sea? Do we have to? * Aaron looks over at Hans. "How badly will they look upon us letting him run free?" [Hans looks at Aaron for a moment. "At this point? He's so crazed that he might try to drown us or himself if we go after him. So unless you've got a way to fish him out..."] Right. Insanity defense it is. [Hans shakes his head. "I still can't believe you shot him in the gut. I'll *never* understand you people." (Helecopter + net = win) Makoto shoot someone in head. Were you trying to recover him? "I thought I was supposed to stop him! I'm new at this spy shit!" [Hans looks at TJ. "If by "stop," I meant kill, do you think I'd really bother to prepare a tranq?"] "And I don't understand half of what you people are *saying*, let alone what's actually going on!" You were trying to shoot to disable, not kill, right? * Xiang-Fei frowns at Hans. "He kill. He kill on purpose." [Hans shakes his head and turns to Aaron. "What are we going to do about Lurika anyways? She's still on the loose."] "I was just- I don't know." T.J. drops his gun to the ground. "I wasn't, like, aiming for a kill shot." (Okay, that jump was random.) * Aaron looks at TJ. "Accidents happen. If you'd like, I can work with you on targetting practice." (Retcon?) (No, I was talking about what Hans was saying. Just commentary. ^^) (Oh, wait. Ryan != Rowyn.) (Yep.) * T.J. nods absently at Aaron. (Misread that. Anyhow, Aaron needed to talk to TJ first, so! ;p) * Aaron looks back at Hans. "Where was she last seen again?" [Hans rubs his head. "Someone knocked me out in the lab. I was trying to get through that when we heard we got the lead on our famous comatose boy."] This lead was dumb. He was here, wasn't he? Should have left him here. * Hans looks at the monitors. "I'm still trying to figure those two signals out. Perhaps I can bring them back to the lab for further analysis. It might give us a good reason as to why he went totally batfuck insane out there. Any reason you could find would be welcome. * Xiang-Fei folds her arms. "We go home now?" I think so... * Olivia peeks out from behind the monitors, getting up now. "Uh... Maybe I should get going?" * T.J. leans down and retrieves his gun. He stares at it for a few long seconds before putting it away in his shoulder holster under his jacket. [Hans puts stuff away in his briefcase. Bob looks up at the group. "Look, I'm sorry things went down this way. If you need anything..." He holds out a business card.] * Aaron takes it. "I'm sorry as well." * Xiang-Fei pats TJ on the shoulder. * T.J. looks over at Xiang, obviously a little surprised. He smiles, a bit weakly. * Xiang-Fei smiles back. It's safe right now, right? Right? It's safe. You can come out now. * Xiang-Fei looks back to Olivia and nods. * Olivia comes out carefully from behind the desk. * Xiang-Fei looks at everyone. "We go home now? Eat rice dumplings? Uh, yes? * Xiang-Fei cheers. "Yay!" "Yeah, home is good." Yes. Let's go back. (Who's leading the way out?) (I'm not!) ( I'll do it! Unless someone stops me :P ) (I think it's quite in character for you. ^_~) 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6-2) and gets a natural 4 for a result of 2. [Everyone steps outside of the boat, Xiang-Fei leading the charge. As she heads out, there's a sound of metal hitting metal just to her right.] (at the doorway, that should say. Agh, I'm tired.) * Xiang-Fei looks off in that direction. [Xiang-Fei finds a small dent in the side of the doorway. In that dent is what looks like the remains of a rifle bullet hitting at high speed.] [End of File.]
