[Date: December 23rd, 2015. Time: 2120 hours.] [Last time on KS, any hope of getting Makoto back on the team fizzled while Makoto went insane, got shot, and dove out of a porthole. A good time was had by none and disappointment happened abound.] [Everyone was about to head back to HQ, Xiang-Fei first as always, when she managed to narrowly avoid getting sniped by a bullet heading outside. There are various high cranes for loading cargo all around the docks, so the sniper might literally be anywhere. But he (or she) has probably still got the gun trained on you.] [Start of File.] * Xiang-Fei ducks back inside with a yelp. "Are we being shot at again?" * Olivia yelps and gets to the back. I believe so. [Hans just looks at Xiang-Fei for a moment, then looks at TJ, rubbing through his bangs. "Well, aren't we attracting the welcome wagon all over?"] Do people regularly shoot at you guys?! I wouldn't say "regularly." Yes "Not me. I've never been shot at before today." Well, uh, um... you can deal with it, right? Right? No? [Luckily, no one's shooting at you when you're not presenting yourselves as a target. So a momentary reprieve.] We're not in a terribly good position at the moment. * Xiang-Fei looks to Aaron for guidance. * Aaron looks around to see if there are any other ways out of there. (How'd Makoto get out?) (Jumped through a porthole and swam.) Well, we can't stay here either. If they know they've got us pinned down, they'll eventually come after. (Why nobody picked him off from the deck you'll never know.) (Because we were in a storage room?) * Olivia is hiding behind people. * Xiang-Fei pouts. "Even when Smelly not here, he get us in dangers." [There are various windows and another door that will get you on the other side of the deck, with the cabins blocking your way. It won't help you get off the ship necessarily, but at least you'll be able to get outside.] [That or you could follow suit with Makoto.] Well, we could go out the other side. Or do what Makoto did and swim. "They could shoot at us in the water." It depends on where the sniper, or snipers, are. Which we don't know. However, you're right; swimming would make us easier targets. Uh, hmmm... * Olivia thinks. "Can't you avoid getting hit by going deep enough below the surface? Not saying you should!" Then we no can breathe. Unless you're used to deep diving, it's probably very easy to get disoriented. [Hans hesitates. "Well...there's IV tubing. I'm not sure how much oxygen that'd get to us straight. Much less if there's enough for all of us..."] Oh, okay. "Where we swimming to?" That's another problem. How far up the docks are they placed? Fuck that. Who ARE they?" That's what I'd like to know. I mean, I doubt customs would order snipers for the ports. I don't know! For all we know, they're not even after us. They could be after something else on this ship. "It got something to do with that dude I shot?" Then why they shoot at me? Actually, they could have just been shooting at the first person to step off the ship. Either way, that doesn't help us much. * Xiang-Fei makes a face and moves back behind Aaron. ( First person off ship. You first now!) So. Into the water, or out the other side? Other side? "Where you just got shot at." The other side of the deck. It may or may not block the sniper from seeing us. * Aaron holds up a hand. "Someone's coming." * Xiang-Fei nodnods. "Sounds like is shooting each others." They're a ways off, I think. * Olivia stays behind the people! * Xiang-Fei glancs back and forth between people. "What we do?" Find a way out or stay and fight. I'd suggest leaving, if we can get out safely. How? Leaving's good! Swim, or out the cabins on the other side. How much of that tubing and oxygen do we have? "We could do both, maybe split the fire." But who shooting at who? I'm really bad at swimming, so I should go out the other side? [Hans shrugs. "IV tubing really is meant for transmission of fluids, not snorkeling. But we'd have to go back down to where they were holding Makoto."] * Xiang-Fei makes a face at Hans. "Um... I go other side with Olivia."] * T.J. looks at Aaron. "Which way you goin'?" [Hans shrugs again at Xiang-Fei. "Aaron's the one who suggested it."] I feel like a swim tonight. "I'd rather not go where I know the shooting is, so I'll swim too." * T.J. turns to Olivia and Xiang-Fei. "Do you think you'll be okay goin' out there, though?" * Xiang-Fei tilts her head at TJ. "No?" Well we've gotta do something. And I'll note, for the record, that you two are both insane. It wouldn't be the first time someone's noted that. "Hey, maybe we should dive out and start swimmin' first. You can wait and see if we draw off their fire. If not, you swim too. If they start shootin' at us, make a run out here while they're distracted." And I have to warn you, I don't do much psychiatric help. Uh... "That make sense?" T.J. asks Aaron. Makes sense to me. (Of course, making sense to Aaron doesn't guarantee anything, so. ;p) (T.J. thinks Aaron's the leader.) (Everyone thinks that except Aaron.) ( You wanna make Xiang-Fei the leader? ) You guys are the spies! (Aaron thinks it's Makoto, which makes this a really difficult situation.) (Actually, Aaron thinks it's Ryan. Which doesn't change it.) ( Xiang-Fei will do it if you ask her to :o ) (Exactly.) ( First, we attack supply depot!) ( Then, we eat meatbuns! They're good for you!) * T.J. takes out his gun. He pauses, looking at it thoughtfully, then holds it out to Olivia and Xiang. "Here. It won't do well wet anyway." * Xiang-Fei holds up her hands and shakes her head rapidly at TJ. I don't even know how to *shoot* one of those things. The open circle end points away from you. "Point and click," T.J. says, placing the gun into Olivia's hands. "If worst comes to worst. Don't shoot if you don't have to." He sounds like that last bit of advice is rather heartfelt. Definitely getting closer. We should move now. * T.J. lets go of the gun he's handed Olivia and heads off for the water. * Xiang-Fei nodnods. * Olivia takes the weapon and fumbles it. (Do we have to go get the tubing first?) (Yes.) Tubing first. * T.J. nods. "Okay." He then follows Aaron. [Hans calls out. "Wait."] * T.J. waits. [He fumbles through his suitcase for a while then holds out a scapel. "Need something to cut the tubing first. It might work."] * Aaron takes it. "Thank you." Uh, uh, uhm, okay. * Aaron heads for where Makoto was being kept. "See you on the other side." ^_^ Okay! * T.J. follows the leader. [Hans nods and then turns to Xiang-Fei and Olivia. "Well, ladies. I guess you're with me. Let's go."] [He heads down the hallways through the maze of cabins.] * Xiang-Fei nods and takes three steps before turning. "Ummmm.... Where?" * Xiang-Fei follows! "Oh." * Olivia follows Hans! To the other side of the ship. They can't shoot us if there's a whole mess of cabins in the way. But we've still gotta get off this deathtrap." * Xiang-Fei nods. "Start to hate boats." Boats, helicopters, planes...is there a single vehicle you guys haven't had trouble with? Scooter? (Wait until next session.) (We'll title it "The insane scooter death chase.") I don't know, I just met these guys. >_< Never a dull moment, eh? * Xiang-Fei nods, sulking. [Everyone makes their way to the back of the boat. It'd be a nice night if it weren't for people shooting at you. Fortunately, no one seems to be shooting at you from this door.] [The cabins wrap around towards the stern. You may be able to peek around the corner if you'd like. You may even not get shot as you do so.] * Xiang-Fei looks to Dr. Hans. He's suddenly the leader! * Olivia looks at Xiang-Fei. She's the spy! [Hans looks at Xiang-Fei with a dull stare. "What?"] Now what? [Hans looks about. "Maybe we can find out now just what's out there. Either of you willing?"] Um... For do what? (Just shove her out the door, Hans. Save you a lot of frustration. ;p) [Hans sighs and edges near the edge of the wall, peeking around the corner.] * Olivia shakes her head. * Xiang-Fei tilts her head. [Hans blinks slightly and turns back towards Xiang-Fei, waving her over. "You're not going to believe this." * Xiang-Fei walks over. "No? " (It's a hermaphrodite with a Flock of Seagulls haircut and only one nostril!) (Thank you, RDM. ^_~) [Xiang-Fei sees one of the figures on the docks running towards the boat. He's firing behind him. It looks vaguely like Sean.] * Xiang-Fei blinks. "Is Notbritish man." [Hans snorts. "Notbritish man?"] Who? [Hans turns back towards Olivia. "Sean Ardente. Rude, independent. He's part of our..." He slows himself. "agents...wait the hell a minute. Wasn't he supposed to be tracking the girl?" * Xiang-Fei tilts her head. "Was he? He no look like he doing." Uh... I really have no clue. [Hans peers back around. "I can't see what he's shooting at either."] * Xiang-Fei peers too. [Xiang-Fei can't see it either. He seems to be headed for the boat.] What we do? [Hans looks about and points. "There's the life rafts. We could get on those, but they might be slow."] But what about Sean? Or we wait until he gets up here with the firefight. Odds are he's coming for us. If not, he's an idiot. He be stuck if we no wait. I know never to discount that possibility. Of him being an idiot? Me neither. * Xiang-Fei scratches her forehead. But Xiang-Fei said to wait. Might be our best option. At least he's someone who can actually shoot. Okay. I'll wait. * Xiang-Fei nods. [Sean curses as he gets on the deck. He seems to be wearing shades. At night. Fortunately, these ones have a wire attached to them, so there may actually be a reason for it. <"Dammit. Where the bloody hell are they?">] [He seems to be looking around. He hasn't made out the group yet. He does fire another shot down towards the docks below though.] [He eventually makes it your way and almost runs into Xiang- Fei.] * Xiang-Fei is almost run into! "Eek!" [Sean clamps a hand over Xiang-Fei's mouth almost instantly. "Keep it down. If they think they're just chasing me, they might focus just on me." He tosses Xiang-Fei a small duffle. * Xiang-Fei catches it. "What this? Picnic?" [Sean turns around the corner, holding his gun at the ready. "No. Bloody Fidelis figured out how to build some stealth suits. Those are thermo."] * Xiang-Fei blinks. [Hans pales. "Oh hell..."] What? * Olivia blinks. "huh? You mean suits that make someone invisible to heat-detection?" [Hans shakes his head. "I think he means that they're generally invisible. Or pretty damned hard to spot." He looks up at Sean. "Thermogoggles?" Sean nods, but keeps an eye peered on cover.] * Xiang-Fei tilts her head. [Hans sighs and takes the pack, opening it up, and holding out shades that look similar to Sean's, the wire attached to a small belt- clippable pack. "Here." * Xiang-Fei takes one, looking it over before slipping it on. She looks weird now. Headband + shades do not mix. Oh oh, I see. I don't. Oh. * Olivia waves her hand in front of Xiang-Fei. * Xiang-Fei isn't wearing a belt either. That's a problem. [Xiang-Fei may look weird, but the world looks even weirder. Through the shades, she can still see things like normal vision, but overlaid on the living beings are various shades of colors. Olivia's hand looks especially pretty.] * Xiang-Fei notes it! "You have nice hand." [Sean nods. "Now look on the dock."] * Xiang-Fei looks! [Xiang-Fei seems no figures. But she does see the heat signatures. Whether she knows that's what they are or not is anyone's guess. But there's about 4 red to green blobs out there looking around that she can see.] Why thank you! Is many blobby things. But, still is too far to fight. I'm sure they'll be coming onboard soon. * Xiang-Fei nods, drawing her swords. [Sean props up his gun. "Be ready."] Okay. * Olivia hides behind the people! [End of File.]
