[Date: December 23rd, 2015. Time: 2318 hours.] [After the incident at the harbor, everyone on the Oriental side of the globe manages to make it back to the truck. The ship pulls out soon, and TJ is also able to leave the dock without incident. The guards at the gate were knocked out, indicating a struggle, and hopefully that they weren't part of the plot.] (Actually, just a verification: TJ, you had everyone hiding in the back of the truck, yes? Is there a way for them to talk to you from the back?) (I dunno. It's not my item. It wouldn't be that hard to rig something up, though.) (We'll do that then.) (And actually, it's up to you guys to make the requests for what you think you need. Mostly if you don't specify it, you might not get what you want. It can't hurt, the worst they can say is no.) (When getting mission equip.) (Okay. So, say it's there.) (Well I have no clue! I don't know what we're doing!) (I'm just along for the ride, as it were.) ( Xiang-Fei needs no-thing!!! ) [The group probably wanted to head back to HQ. It's been a long night. And from the stealth stalkers, you got two leads to go on. Nicolas Prower and Fidelis. That's about all you know, but everyone knows that Fidelis in itself is bad news. However, Sean seems to have other plans. And he still hasn't told you how exactly he got there.] (I don't know that Fidelis is bad news. c.c) [So he's probably about to do that now. Start of File.] (If you've done any checking up on Kaminari records, you might. All of the older players know it though. ;P) ( Katamari no Shimei ) (Either way, they just sent people to kill you. That's gotta be bad news.) (I don't know anything either!) [Sean frowns and knocks on the window for TJ. "'ey. Any way you can follow a tracker while you drive, new blood?" (Ah, okay. That's bad, yeah.) (Sliding window panel seperating the back from the front btw.) "A tracker? What's that?" Bloody GPS? It's something that emits a signal from elsewhere. A bug. * T.J. shrugs. "I should." * Xiang-Fei decides to ask Sean! She's interrupting, too, but she doesn't seem to mind. "Why you come here?" [Sean glances at Xiang-Fei. "Later love." He turns back to TJ. "Can you do it?"] Yeah, don't you watch any spy flicks? [Sean nods and sets the GPS out of his pack, holding it out for TJ to take.] * T.J. takes it. He looks at the gizmo. [The GPS has a big arrow in the middle. That's gotta be you. It's also got a signal flashing someways to the southwest.] (Is everyone else in the vehicle?) (Yes. In the back.) * T.J. revs the engine and sets off driving. (What rolls are going to be needed?) [Sean settles back in the back of the truck and sits down. "Now, I was tracking that crazy bird. They got something planted on her before she got taken from HQ.] (We need a UR MOM roll with a -2 bonus from last night!) (I'll say navigation, but just to determine how long it takes to get there. -2 bonus for using a GPS.) (What's the core stat for that, again?) (Mind?) 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for TJ (2d6-2) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 8. (Made by 3, I think.) [Sean looks up at Xiang-Fei. "That thing we planted on 'er's got a bit of audio to it too. Short range, but enough when you're tailing her. That's when I heard him talking about tracking down some experiment at the pier. Something about a test run."] * Xiang-Fei tilts her head. ".......... huh?" * T.J. drives and drives. He obeys the traffic lights but is going a couple of kilometres per hour over the speed limit. [Sean shrugs his hands out slightly. "I don't get it either, love. But they were after you or someone at the dock, that's for bloody sure. I'm pretty sure they knew you were there though." Oh. (If T.J. were going at speed limit, he'd arouse suspicion.) (Well duh.) [Hans is fairly quiet through all of this. He seems to be contemplating something.] (Also! There are no speed limits in China. File that away.) (You can herd your chickens as fast as you want!) ( Aren't we in Japan? ) (Darn RIGHT you can!) (Yes, you are.) (But Ard just wanted us to know.) * Aaron leans back, his eyes half-closed. He's probably listening, although it's hard to tell. [Sean frowns slightly. "There was someone else on the audio. Someone who sounded familiar. I couldn't put a finger on it though. That's the one who called Prower by name though. Called him Doctor Prower though."] "But I assume that's the same bloody Nicolas Prower that bloke was talking about." (If Miles is in this game I shall be forced to drive north and kill you Rowy.) * Aaron raises one eyebrow slightly. * Xiang-Fei looks at Sean like she doesn't understand a word of what he's saying. [Sean looks over at Aaron but doesn't comment about the eyebrow raise. Instead, he replies, "'ere now. Where's the Irish bloke with you?"] (Miles: Annnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo) Off visiting people. Or on vacation. I'm not quite sure which. But definitely not here. [Sean nods and doesn't press.] [Sean then looks out to Olivia and gives a faint grin. "Now you two are new faces though, am I right? The driver too?"] (Oooh, Miles the doctor) * Olivia nods, not sure what to add to the conversation. (Add paprika. It goes well.) (Mmm. Oregano parmesan conversation.) [TJ follows the tracking of the GPS out of town. There are some windy roads and eventually you get into a business park. TJ pulls up near a building that says "Hoffman Scientific Institute." The building itself is widespread but all the lights are off. It looks shut down for the night.] [The general shape of the complex is that of a giant L. The entrances are at each end of the L, north and south ends.] [Sean seems to be fiddling with a small radio in the back but seems to be getting nothing but static. He frowns the more he adjusts it.] * Xiang-Fei scratches her forehead. "What we doing?" [Time: 0010 hours.] Beats me. "I just followed this gizmo." [Sean keeps trying to adjust the radio. "We are trying to figure out who it is who has it in for you. But on top of that, we can't risk them getting further away.] Oh. [Sean shakes his head and slams his fist on the radio. "Bloody piece of crap."] After her, right? * Olivia points at Xiang-Fei. * Xiang-Fei blinks, pointing to herself. "Me?" [Soon after he hits the top of the radio, there's a gun shot on it. Then static again.] [ I'm not...sure.] Oh, that sounds promising. [He stares at the radio.] (Err, move my comment before Sean's?) "We gettin' shot at again?" I hope we're not getting shot again. I'm alergic to bullets. ["No, that's not at us."] [Sean gets up quickly and checks his gun. "Let's hope that's not Lurika then."] Huh? [Sean turns towards Xiang-Fei. "I DID say I was tracking the crazy bird."] So you did. "Yo, before I go in there, can someone tell me what's the deal here? 'Cause I been lost since way back at the docks." Oh. [Sean turns to TJ and starts to speak, but Hans interrupts. "Someone took my assistant that we took in from the other side. Seems she was working for someone named Mister V. Now she worked for us. Bastard had to knock me out to get her. That's the girl named Lurika there."] * T.J. stares at Hans for a second. "Okay, let's try that again." * T.J. looks around at Sean, Xiang-Fei and Aaron, hoping they might be clearer. This hope will likely be crushed. * Xiang-Fei has been lost from the start. No help there. * Olivia is lost, and thus wasn't looked at. Lurika is a crazy girl who loves explosives, and we're not entirely sure whose side she's on. Most likely, it's her own. But she was helping us for a while. She was rather sweet on a previous team member. [Sean checks his clip. "You left out quite a bit about her." Hans shrugs and Sean sighs. "Well, apparently, she's had quite a few people after her before we took her into custody as well. Seems someone finally got to her."] (And that's to Hans, not to Aaron. Aaron's doing good catchup. ^_^) (Woo. ^_^) [Sean glances at Aaron. "Sweet? On who?" Oh, you didn't know? ^_^ Seems she had somewhat of a thing for Richard. No... * Xiang-Fei boggles. [Sean pauses for a moment. "What? That pale kid?"] Yes. ^_^ * Xiang-Fei so totally boggles at that one. [Sean pauses more. "You have got to be ribbing me."] * T.J. nods, but the fact that she had the hots for Richard means nothing to him. Huh? Who? No joking. [Sean looks at Olivia. "Richard T'ron. He was this group's, uh, previous hacker."] "I heard he wasn't very good at it." Not really. Ryan did most of his work for him, from what I gathered. Not true hacking, but a lot of electronic work. * Aaron smiles at Olivia. "So you're certainly a step up." * Xiang-Fei beams as the conversation turns around to something she understands. Er, kinda. "I help!" [Sean starts to head for the back of the truck. "That shot isn't getting any fresher."] * Olivia blushes a bit. "Aheh..." ^^; [Sean opens the back of the truck, gesturing with his pistol. "Come on," he hisses out. "We can talk along the way so long as we keep it quiet." * Xiang-Fei blinks. She hops out of the truck, bringing her swords with her. * T.J. follows. His clothes are still a bit wet from earlier excitement, so he drips onto the pavement. * Olivia follows too. "Keep quiet while talking?" * Aaron nods. [Sean whispers. "You can try. Or you can stay silent and remain in the dark. Speaking of dark, anyone have a light?"] * Olivia rummages through her pack and pulls out a flashlight. [The light illuminates the way. The building doesn't seem to have anyone near it. There are still two doors to approach.] * T.J. zips up his leather jacket. (And if anyone wants to give me an architecture roll, feel free.) (What specialty?) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 9. ( Nope! ) (Corporate I guess. "Laboratories" would be too specific, wouldn't it?) 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Aaron (2d6-3) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 5. (Corporate works.) (Can it be rolled unskilled?) (Sure.) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for TJ (2d6) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 6. (But you'll get less info on a success.) (Made for mind.) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6) and gets a natural 3 for a result of 3. (Woot, I roxxorz your boxxorz) (That roll was Oliviowned) (Unskilled, made by 6) (Continue.) * Xiang-Fei follows people. * Olivia looks around. "This place just screams 'top secret evil headquarters', you know." Of course it does. Hmm. [Sean grins a little. "You're getting into this, aren't you?"] I'd imagine it's got some sort of security system on it. Well after you've seen enough James Bond movies, you know an evil HQ when you see one. Heck, I bet they've even got an atom smasher, that'd be so cool. *_* High energy lab, could cause interference... probably some more labs in the basement... not sure about atom smashers, though. "Simple alarms, you think? Or something more?" Maybe have fifty guys with axe * Aaron shakes his head. "That I can't tell. I'm afraid we'll have to get a bit closer." Fifty with one axe? That's not so bad. * Xiang-Fei shakes her head. "One each. Maybe two each." "The difference is, this one ain't made of plywood and plaster and a missing wall," T.J. says to Olivia. Well it's definetly big enough for a particle accelerator. * Olivia nods to TJ. "That's what makes it even cooler." *_* * Ardweden is now known as Ardle So which entrance? North? South? Flip a coin? * Xiang-Fei shrugs. What, were you expecting her to decide? "What's the plan when we get inside?" Uh, I don't know. You guys are the superspies, right? Find whatever or whoever made that shot. Bypass the security system. Get the girl, right? Seems logical. I'm trying to figure out if there's a good reason to pick one entrance over the other... Split up? Maybe burn supply depot? [Sean frowns. "Normally I'd agree, but we don't have the headsets. Less you happened to bring them."] Or a surprise attack. [Sean then stops himself and clarifies. "With the splitting up part. I'm not sure about their supply depot."] Surprise fire attack? ["We're not sure which side's hostile."] * Xiang-Fei nods to Olivia. "On supply depot." * Olivia nods to Xiang-Fei. * Xiang-Fei nods to Olivia. * Olivia nods to Xiang-Fei. * Xiang-Fei nods to Olivia. * Olivia nods to Xiang-Fei. * Xiang-Fei nods to Olivia. * Olivia nods to Xiang-Fei. * Xiang-Fei nods to Olivia. * Olivia nods to Xiang-Fei. * Xiang-Fei nods to Olivia. (Okay, did this just bug or are they going in a loop?) (It's a loop.) (loop.) ( Exciting nodding action! ) (By the way, I'm cracking up here.) * Aaron holds up his headset. "I brought this, but I think it's the only one. I suggest we stay together." [Sean shakes his head and heads towards the closest entrance. To get away from these two.] ( XD ) * Aaron then heads after Sean. "I don't think there's anything lethal here, but I'd be cautious of whatever security they might have." * T.J. looks at Olivia and Xiang-Fei nodding. He does not join in. He probably decides that all his female coworkers are crazy. (So are his male ones, for that matter.) (Yeah, really.) * Xiang-Fei notices everyone leaving and hurries after! * Olivia hurries after as so not to be left behind. Zoinks! (Jinkies!) (And stealth rolls.) * T.J. looks back at the truck once, then hurries to join in the infiltration mission, leaving puddles in his wake. (What's the base stat for stealth?) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for TJ (2d6) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 10. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 10. 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Aaron (2d6-2) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 6. (Failed anyway.) ( Whatever it is, I failed it! ) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 10. (FAILURE IS DEFINETLY AN OPTION!) ( Jeez, Dicey likes his 10s ) (This is going to be the worst infiltation ever.) (which, as none of us are any good at this sneaky stuff, makes sense.) [Everyone approaches the door. There is a keypad at the door. Aaron hears people coming a mile away.] ("I THINK I FAILED MY MOVE SILENTLY CHECK! HEY GUYS, I SAID I THINK I FAILED MY MOVE SILENTLY CHECK!") (*dies*) (OotS FTW) (HA!) (Woot OotS) * T.J. strolls up, his wet shoes going squish-squish-squish with every step. He leaves a trail of damp footprints. (T.J. is stealthy like 747) * Xiang-Fei is stealthily clomping along. CLOMP CLOMP CLOMP [Sean sighs. "Let's hope it really is closed for the night." He looks up at the keypad. "Code?"] * Aaron is the only one even remotely stealthy, although in this crowd, he probably doesn't have to try hard to *not* get noticed. * Aaron shrugs. "No idea." He looks at Olivia. "Can you crack a keypad?" * Olivia seems to be humming while doing this. Kinda strange, really. Uh, keypad cracking? Yeah, I think so. I crack if you want. I crack it good. Poor choice of words on my part, it seems. * Olivia blinks. "Yes, yes it was." Not literal cracking. It's slang for... ( Xiang-Fei can crack it better than any of ya! ) * Aaron pauses, as he realizes that "hacking" may not be such a good term, either. (WITH HER FACE!) ...for using some method to get in when you don't know the code. * Xiang-Fei blinks at Aaron. "Um... No can slang it very far. It attached in wall." Slang. Not sling. * Xiang-Fei blinks. "Oh. I never slang one before." Olivia can take care of this one, I think. * Aaron does not add, "...I hope." * T.J. looks at the keypad. He does not know the code. Or, if he does know it, he keeps it to himself, the bastard. * Xiang-Fei blinks. "Uh... Okay." She turns to Olivia and cheers her on. "Slang it good and far!" (And keep slanging it all night long.) * Olivia hmms at the covering of the case, taking out a pocket knife and prying open the casting with it. She then takes out her laptop, hooking up some wires, and starts going to town. * T.J. looks around. Maybe he will spot something of interest. 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6-5) and gets a natural 4 for a result of -1. (Make by 10) (...you did remember the +4?) (Yup.) (You, madam, frighten me.) (Olivia's a scarygood hacker. XD) (Thank you, thank you.) [Olivia tampers with government property. And some numbers flash quickly across the LCD of the numerical pad. Pretty soon, the door slides open, pad untouched.] Beautiful work. It's what I do. ^^ * Olivia unhooks her computer and gets up, placing the pad's cover back on to cover the tampering. * Xiang-Fei claps, further reducing her stealthiness. She doesn't comment on how Olivia didn't slang the thing at all. [Sean nods and starts on inside.] * Xiang-Fei follows! "Nice job." * Olivia follows! * T.J. follows the followers. Thanks. ^_^; * Aaron brings up the rear. [The hallways meander for a while. There are doors to the side, but all the rooms are closed. Sean mouthes back to you, "I don't see anything yet." but it only works if the flashlight is still shining on him. It's pretty dark in here.] * Olivia is shining the flashlight wherever! (Perception rolls (sight).) (Olivia, together we can rule the world. What do you say?) "See anything?" T.J. asks quietly. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for TJ (2d6) and gets a natural 4 for a result of 4. 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6-2) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 3. (Made! By a bunch.) ( :o ) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 5. ( Made by a little! ) ( Sure!) (I made by at least 3, 5 if HA counted.) (Make by 4) 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Aaron (2d6-4) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 3. [Down a long stretch of hallway, leading into a T-intersection, everyone who made it makes out the arm of a slumped form. The arm still seems attached. Always a plus.] * T.J. dashes down the hall. * Xiang-Fei gasps points at it! [Those who made by 4 or more also notice the spreading pool of blood.] * Aaron says, quietly, "Oh, that can't be good..." He moves down the hall towards it. * Xiang-Fei grabs Dr. Hans's sleeve and points. "That dude needs some help," T.J. calls back, not particularly quietly. * Olivia looks pale. "Uh... Um. There's someone down there." * T.J. keeps running! (Anything happen? He get there? What?) [TJ manages to get there. It's not a dude. It's a woman. And she's wearing a Kaminari uniform. Actually, TJ thinks she looks familiar. Oh, that's right. He was one of the women he just saw saved when he flew into Germany. Wait, what the heck?] ( He's a transvestite! ) [Of course Aaron and Xiang-Fei notice she's got a stunning likeness of Keyoumi Senada.] (Or a typo! But either way. ;p) (Typo yes.) * Xiang-Fei blinks. "Is Keyoumi!" * T.J. starts emergency response medical aid. (o/~ Dude looks like a lady o/~) * Aaron blinks. "It... certainly looks like her." (What are the wounds?) [Sean pales when he sees her. "Oh bloody hell..."] * T.J. checks if she's alive first, and what her wounds are. [Gun shot through the chest.] (Is she alive?) (Give me a medical diagnosis roll.) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for TJ (2d6) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 5. (Made by 4.) (She's dead, Jim.) [She's not quite dead yet. But she certainly is fading fast.] [She is unconscious though.] * Xiang-Fei tugs on Dr. Hans's sleeve harder. "She's still alive," T.J. says as he sets to work trying to stabilize her. (This an Emergency Response roll?) (Yes.) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for TJ (2d6) and gets a natural 11 for a result of 11. (... Great. Fail by 1.) ( What's up with the doc? ) ( Or rather, What's up, doc? ) (And all give me another awareness roll. Hearing this time.) 2d6-2 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d6-2) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 6. * Dicesuke throws the bones for TJ (2d6-2) and gets a natural 4 for a result of 2. ( Nope ) [Hans looks on at the scene. "Wh-what's she doing here?"] (Well, I made the Awareness roll, anyway. But where was that 4 for the Emergency Response? Gah.) * Xiang-Fei tugs harder. "Do something!" 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 6. (make by 3 that time) * Ardle is now known as Ardweden I don't know, what's who doing here? [Hans starts forward but stops as he turns his head to look down the hallway. All of you who made it hear footsteps coming from that direction. But you all hear the voice, deep and male. "I might ask you the same question."] If you're talking about her, she looks like she's bleeding. * Aaron ...stays out of the way, because he knows very little about first aid and wants to leave it to the people who do know. * Xiang-Fei blinks. She takes a few steps forward. "Who there?" (Ack, missed the call for another roll. ^^;) 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Aaron (2d6-4) and gets a natural 7 for a result of 3. * Aaron turns his head to listen first to the footsteps, then to the voice. [Walking down the T-intersection is a man in a lab coat. He has medium length weight hair, slightly spikey and a hard nose to him. He's wearing glasses over his face, but if his hair were a little spikier, he'd look like a twin of the white haired man who kidnapped Aaron's girlfriend (way back in session 47). ] (Uh, what's happening with the first aid attempt?) * Xiang-Fei stares. She moves forward, past Keyoumi and TJ, and adopts a defensive stance. * Olivia stays back and out of the way of any flying kung-fu action or stuff. [Just over his shoulder is the glint of a rifle, but it's too dark to see the person standing behind him. TJ's first aid seems to stablize the bleeding, but only if he holds a patch right on the wound. The man looks over you all. "A group of you? How annoying."] [End of File.]
