[Date: January 1, 2016. Time: 0200 hours.] [The group landed once again on the Mysterious Island of Mystery to investigate the cloning project Fidelis had going and to put an end to it by any means possible. Thus far, they made it to the first guard control room. Where after some struggle, they managed to knock the guard out at the console. With everyone well underway, Ryan goes to check on TJ. Sneaky sneaky.] [There's still muffled noises coming from the nearby holding cell. And some shifting. Shifty shifty.] [Session Start.] (I'm not here.) ([Start of File] even. Forgot the general format.) (That's why Ryan went to check on you.) (Right, Ryan's going to get you.) * Aaron goes to peek into the holding cell. * Olivia lets Aaron do that! [The terminal is clear for Olivia to do her thing.] * Olivia goes about doing her thing, checking around for who's where, what's where, and that sort of stuff. * Xiang-Fei is hangin' out. [Aaron, meanwhile, peeks in the cell and finds an old friend! Or maybe not. But bound and gagged inside the cell is Lurika. Her hands are tied behind her back and the gag is over her mouth (obviously). One notable difference is that she's sans her typical skates. She doesn't seem to have noticed Aaron yet.] (Oh, good, let's just leave her there. ;p) 2d6-9 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6-9) and gets a natural 3 for a result of -6. * Aaron heads back over to the gals. ~Well, you'll never guess who's in that cell over there.~ * Xiang-Fei guesses! "Tom Cruise?" 2d6-9 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6-9) and gets a natural 4 for a result of -5. ~Gummy bears... bouncing here and there and everywhere...~ [Olivia cracks into the database and is pretty sure she didn't leave a trail. After a little searching, she gets general maps of the complex. She also gets a layout of the camera setup on the floors.] ~No. Definitely not. Slightly more mentally unstable. But only slightly.~ * Xiang-Fei scratches her head. ~I am the greatest in the world!~ * Aaron peers over. ~What do you have?~ * Xiang-Fei looks peers over Olivia's other shoulder. Video games, maybe? ~Maps, people who have access to what areas, camera placements, the whole shabang. I swear, their security could use some work.~ [Xiang-Fei doesn't see any videogames. Well, there might be if "video games" = wire-framed 3d images and lots and lots of text.] * Xiang-Fei thinks they might! ~Fantastic. As for who's in the cell, well... does a certain holy terror on skates ring a bell?~ * Xiang-Fei boggles. ..... Batman? No, spider man. Oh. ~Lurika.~ * Xiang-Fei boggles. [As Xiang-Fei's watching, Olivia does some typing. There's a buzz on one of the monitors for a second and the picture switches to a guard walking down a corridor. He swipes a card in the outside of a door then turns the handle and walks on in.] ~Olivia, can you figure out how long it is before the guards check here?~ ~Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm... Let's see.~ 2d6-9 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6-9) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 1. ~Database says 20 minutes, but I wouldn't put my money on that.~ What you put it on? ~You're head, it's much too unstable.~ * Aaron hmms. ~TJ, Ryan, you hearing any of this?~ (You are head?) * Xiang-Fei blinks. ~Yeah, I hear. Listen, there's some sort of trouble with the gas feed on the plane, so Ryan and I are gonna fix that before we catch up with you.~ ~Okay. Relay the bit about Lurika to Ryan? I'm not confident in our ability to keep her contained at the moment, so I think we're just going to leave her be until we can regroup.~ (Yeah, I can fix that.) * T.J. pauses for a second and then says, ~Ryan's pretty pissed 'bout this Lurika.~ ~Does he want us to get her out now?~ ~Who's Lurika?~ Girl what have bad taste in men. ~Ryan wants to know what shape she's in.~ * Xiang-Fei nods sagely. ~And he says to let her out.~ ~Bound and gagged, but otherwise seemingly intact. And... oh? Well, then. Remind me to thank him for this later.~ ~Olivia, can you open that holding cell over there?~ * Xiang-Fei looks around the room out of boredom. * Xiang-Fei - completely oblivious to any danger. (And how!) [Olivia can't without opening all of them at once. There does seems to be a card slot on the door of each cell.] ~Ryan says that whatever they want her for, it ain't gonna be good, so you might as well free her.~ ~Um... Not unless you want me opening *all* of them~ Okay! ~Well, let's see what else is in there.~ * Aaron checks the other cells. ( Raisin... Raisin... A new car! ) ~Also, that'd probably be a big alarm thing, given every door in the building would swing open.~ Oh. * Aaron pauses. ~The entire building?~ * Xiang-Fei points at the guard. "Maybe he have key?" (Did I check him last session?) (No.) (The one you checked was the one outside.) * Xiang-Fei are so smart. (Right.) * Aaron checks this guard, then! ~Yeah, the entire building.~ [Aaron finds a card with a big flashing holographic neon design that says "Cell key!!!!11!" No, not really. But he does find a few card keys.] ( Woo! More than one! ) ~Well, we have cardkeys. Any way to tell which is the right one, or do I go on a swiping spree?~ I no know. (One of them's really his credit card and Aaron ends up charging the poor guy $500 dollars.) (That's an expensive jail cell.) (State of the art!) ~Ryan wants to know if you found the locking mechanism. He thinks he can talk you through opening it.~ ~We found the locking mechanism, but I also found some keycards. Waiting on Olivia's opinion before I go swiping mad.~ There is time limit? ( "Aaron will go mad in 1:30 and counting..." ) (Will go? ;p) ~Well, I didn't get the handy-dandy experimental info.~ ~What I'm asking is that if I try the wrong one, will it set off anything?~ * Aaron holds the cards out for her inspection. I no know. (I'm asking Olivia.) ~Oh, yeah, that's fine. They're not that stupid.~ ~Good, that's all I wanted to know.~ * Aaron walks over to Lurika's cell, takes the first card, and swipes! ( Wrong card! Random encounter! ) (Curses!) ( Maybe it's like FFXI, where not only do you have to farm a key card, but then you have to fight goons after you use it, too. ) (We have keycards?) 2d6-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Aaron (2d6-2) and gets a natural 11 for a result of 9. ( Shrimp lanterns, fomor codexes... Same things ) [Nothing happens.] ( Or best of all, O.hat. XD ) * Aaron tries card #2 on door #1! (I have my eye cluster!) [That one works. The red light on the side of the reader goes green and there's a click. ~Got it.~ * Aaron pockets the keycards and opens the door. [As soon as Aaron opens the door, Lurika turns towards the door with an "Mmm?" Then an "Mmm!" And bounces on her bottom.] Hello there. * Xiang-Fei slides up next to Aaron and adds, "We not really here." [Lurika tilts her head to the side and regards Xiang-Fei. "Mmm?" Exactly. We're getting you out of here, but please, please be quiet and stay with us. * Xiang-Fei nods sagely. ~Jedi mind trick, great idea!~ (Xiang-Fei: Master agent of deception.) ( I'm sucha great spy! ) * Aaron kneels down next to her and unties her hands. Then he carefully removes her gag. ( Should've undone the gag first ) ( Then if she's too annoying we could put it back and she can't do anything about it :O ) (My one attempt at being somewhat merciful will probably prove our undoing, yes.) ~Ryan says that if she tries anything funny, you should flatten her.~ ~Um... I don't think we have a sledgehammer.~ [Lurika takes a deep breath and looks at Aaron. "Itssogoodtoseeyouandseeyouallandyou'rehereandLurika'ssafeandthatguysai dItalktoomuchsohestuffedthatonmymouthandtheytookmySkaaaaates." * Xiang-Fei blinks. "Ummm... Okay." She turns to Lurika. "Um... Please no tell jokes." [Lurika nodnods and frowns, slowing a bit. "They also took my bomb-bombs too." ~We'll try our best there.~ ~Olivia, what's our next destination?~ [Lurika looks off to the side. "I don't know what they want from them. I mean my papa gave them to me." She looks up. "Say! Do you know why Hessien's here?"] * Olivia starts checking the cameras for where the patrols are so they can be avoided. (Hessien?) (Corp knowledge roll. Mmm, forget what skill that is. B/M?) (Maybe? Should I just go with that/) (? even) (Yeah. I know I've had you roll it before but can't remember what was used.) (Mmm...+3) (Neither can I.) 2d6+1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Aaron (2d6+1) and gets a natural 5 for a result of 6. ( I'm not going to bother rolling :P ) 2d6+3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6+3) and gets a natural 3 for a result of 6. (Haha, fear my mad mind.) [Aaron and Olivia recognizes the name, though vaguely. He's a midlevel operative of Valuz Technologies. He's one of their major researchers.] [He's a doctor!] ~Valuz Tech?~ ~I've heard of him. Here for some sort of medical research, probably.~ ~Unfortunately, I don't know enough to get into details.~ ~Um... I wonder if I get satellite here.~ [Lurika tilts her head to the side. "I...think they mentioned something like that, yeah. Something about a joint project... He was talking to mister Big Presidente of the Fidelis Corporation. Him and glasses started talking about me. Annnd....mmm, something else. I can't remember..."] ~Well, we can puzzle it out on our way.~ He looks over at Olivia. ~Got a route for us yet?~ 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6-5) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 3. [Lurika frowns. "Something about soldiers. That sounds about right..."] 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6-3) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 5. * Olivia is typing away on her computer. ~Well, I have a route for us. I can de-activate the cameras at various intervals and get us by the patrols, but it'll be tricky-tricky business.~ [Lurika nods sagely. "Tricky tricky."] (Hey, T.J. can't hear Lurika herself, right?) (I don't think so.) (Nope.) Okay! (She's regular talk, not headphone talk.) (Just asking, 'cause it means he can't forward this information to Ryan.) ~I think tricky is the best we can hope for. It beats impossible.~ (True, but he can also ask about whom they were talking.) ~Well then let's do it. *starts humming the James Bond theme*~ [Lurika frowns. "I don't want them to find me again. That glasses guy was mean. And purple hair girl. Why was purple hair girl mean?"] ~Onward it is. Which way next?~ * Xiang-Fei scratches her head beneath her headband. Mean 'cuz they don't understand you. (We can't because of Ard's schedule.) [Awareness rolls.] 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Olivia (2d6) and gets a natural 10 for a result of 10. 2d8-2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Xiang-Fei (2d8-2) and gets a natural 6 for a result of 4. ( Woo! ) (I R NOT AWARE!) (Xiang Fei wins on rolling 2d8!) 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Aaron (2d6-4) and gets a natural 9 for a result of 5. (Eh. I'll give her it. I mean it's harder so she just overcame crazy odds.) ( :O! ) (And it's near the end of the session anyhow.) [All who made it hear footsteps coming down the north corridor. They sound like they're walking from the east.] (Which is odd, because it's the North corridor. Time and space have no meaning! Whoo.) (It's running east-west but located to the north. :P) ( Olivia, do those plans contain warp portals? Sure do! Isn't that awesome?) * Aaron points in the direction of the corridor. ~Footsteps. We'd better move.~ [Lurika points to herself. "Where Lurika go?"] ~Wait, footsteps? Where?~ * Xiang-Fei scratches her head. Follow us. [Lurika nods. And doesn't stop for a while. She's assuming Aaron's talking to her.] (Her assumption was correct!) * Aaron points again. Oh, well, we're going this way anyways. Good. * Olivia points to the south door and heads that way! Woot. * Aaron follows! And makes sure Lurika is following, too. * Xiang-Fei also follows, ready to beat something up! [Lurika follows too! And everyone exits the room of doom.] [End of File.]
